Mr. Muzammil Hussain Merchant has been associated with Summit Capital (Private) Limited since 2003 and currently serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of diversified experience in equity / fixed income investments, operations, finance, risk and compliance, he brings a profound understanding of Pakistan’s capital markets and regulatory environment.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Merchant has held key leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary, and Head of Risk Management & Compliance. He has been instrumental in formulating and implementing the Company’s Risk Management Manual and Procedures, and has led several strategic initiatives such as Online Trading, Mobile Trading, Shariah-Compliant Investments, Roshan Digital Account (RDA), Raast platform, Securities Advisory, Mutual Fund Distribution, and Consultant to the Issue - all aimed at enhancing investor accessibility, confidence, and service quality.
An MBA with a specialization in Banking and Finance, Mr. Merchant possesses comprehensive expertise in the operations of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), Central Depository Company (CDC), and National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), Financial Markets (FMAP) and Mutual Funds.
